Over at MediumAtLarge.net, the official ReedPop blog, pictures of comics invading the Valhallan halls of McCormick Place in Chicago are already circulating. There’s lots of news and notes about the show on recent blog posts, but for the socially inclined, there’s news of a special C2E2 brew!

Got some awesome news. A little something we’ve been “brewing up” in the background. Did I really say “brewing up”? I guess I did, but it’s warranted. A little bit. See, C2E2, along with C.B. Cebulski, and the fine folks at Three Floyds Brewery are creating a special beer just for the Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo.

Called Zombie Dust, it’s a collaboration between Three Floyds, C.B., C2E2, and artist Tim Seeley. The beer’ll feature artwork from Seeley and be available at the CBR Bar at the McCormick Place Hyatt, at Nerd City’s Friday Night Rocktacular, and at a smattering of watering holes throughout Chicagoland including Kroll’s, Weather Mark Tavern, The Publican, and Province.

Zombie Dust is a single-hop pale ale made with Citra hops from Washington State’s Yakima Valley, and it’s officially rolling out tomorrow. Once CE2 wraps, it’ll then become a permanent fixture in the Three Floyds line-up.

Happiest. Saint. Patrick’s. Day. Ever.

  1. All the cool kids will be at SPACE in Ohio instead.

Er, all the kids who couldn’t afford to go to C2E2 on account of not knowing anyone in Chicago.

    Maybe next year.

  2. How’s the advance ticket sales for this year’s edition?

Other than THE BEAT’s posts, haven’t read much pre-Con hyping on other Comics News sites… wondering if the post-inaugural excitement have settled down somewhat.
