Tonight sees the British Comic Awards underway as part of Thought Bubble, with awards being handed out for Best Comic, Best Book, Emerging Talent and the all-important Young People’s Comic Award. But who won? The shortlist were whittled down by a BCA Committee, leaving five entries in each category. From there, the judges – including Sarah McIntyre, Josie Long, Lenny Henry and Graham Linehan – picked the winners for each award.

Hosted by Geek Syndicate’s David Monteith, five awards were given out over the course of the ceremony, with Leo Baxendale inducted into the BCA Hall of Fame for his work creating classic comics characters like Minnie The Minx, The Bash Street Kids, and Eagle Eye Junior Spy. And also, everybody who attended got a biscuit!
