Archie Comics has provided a preview of art from Archie 1941 #5, ahead of the title’s order cut-off date of Monday, January 14th. The final issue of the miniseries is written by Mark Waid and Brian Augustyn, with art by Peter Krause and colors by Kelly Fitzpatrick. Here’s how the publisher describes the issue:

Archie Andrews—MIA and presumed dead! His friends and family—devastated! Don’t miss out on the conclusion of this headline-making comic event!

The miniseries has reunited Waid with his longtime Flash co-writer and editor Augustyn, as well as with Irredeemable and Insufferable artist Krause. The series also caps nearly four years for Waid of writing Archie, including runs on Archie and Jughead. Archie 1941 has been as dramatic an Archie comic as I’ve ever read, and the preview art from Krause and Fitzpatrick looks like the series finale won’t be pulling any punches.

Check out the pages, plus covers by Krause & Rosario “Tito” Peña, Jerry Ordway, and Tula Lotay, below. Archie 1941 #5 is due in stores on February 6th.
