Archaia is having a busy WonderCon, with a bunch of announcements. Yesterday’s big story was a GN based on IMMORTALS, an upcoming mythology-inspired movie, and today’s is an anthology based on The Storyteller, another Jim Henson project from the past — this one is a little obscure but fondly remembered by many — basically, an old dude would sit there with a dog and tell…stories. Seems ripe for an anthology.

The Storyteller anthology will be edited by Nate Cosby, formerly of Marvel, with contributions by Roger Langridge, Jimmy Palmiotti and Justin Gray, Jeff Parker, Paul Tobin, Colleen Coover, Francesco Francavilla, Brian Clevinger, Tom Fowler, Marjorie Liu, Evan Shaner, Jennifer Meyer, Katie Cook, Chris Eliopoulos, Ron Marz, Jim McCann and Janet Lee — and an unpublished story by the late Anthony Minghella. CBR has more details.

Archaia is sporting their new giant banner (unveiled at C2E2), and their cute Ikea mini stoolland for kids. They’ve also hired a new publisher — Mike Kennedy, a video game industry veteran who has also written such projects as BLEEDOUT for the company. All these moves show that Archaia is definitely trying to move up in the comics publishing ranks.

[An earlier version of this story incorrectly named a new hire for Archaia. The Beat regrets the error.]
