The New Jersey Comic Expo is ramping up it’s guest list adding local boy Adam Kubert to the mix. (Jim Lee was also announced a week or so ago.) Kubert will appear as part of two panels spotlighting the Kubert School:

Saturday, 12-1pm: Kubert School Story Class Part 1– Join Lloyd Biggery, Sean Stramara, and guest instructor Fernando Ruiz (Archie vs. Predator, a joint publication by Archie in conjunction with Dark Horse Comics) for part one of a two-part Kubert School panel that will give all participants the instructions on laying out a page of comics using a generic script to plug in your own favorite characters! Learn what it’s like at the Kubert School, which teaches the art and science of sequential art.

Sunday, 2-3:30 pm: Kubert School Story Class Part 2– Join Lloyd Biggery, Sean Stramara, and guest instructor Fernando Ruiz (Archie vs. Predator, a joint publication by Archie in conjunction with Dark Horse Comics) for part two of the two-part Kubert School panel, continuing the instruction from part one. Now that your pages have been designed and played out, it’s time to pencil and render then! Learn what it’s like at the Kubert School, which teaches the art and science of sequential art.

In addition to these two immersive workshops, the Kubert School will host four panels highlighting notable alumni attending the show! On Saturday, things kick off with Toby Cypress (Kursk, White Suits) at 1pm. On Sunday, fans can attend a three hour block of panels beginning at 12pm with Tom Raney (Ultimate X-Men and Uncanny X-Men for Marvel, DV8 and Stormwatch for Image Comics, and Outsiders for DC Comics), Dennis Calero (X-Men Noir and Assassin’s Creed), and Rags Morales (Identity Crisis, Countdown to Infinite Crisis, Batman: Confidential, and The New 52)!

Additionally, New Jersey Comic Expo worked with the school to have the students create posters to promote NJCE. After selecting two winners; Joshua James and Minkyu Jung, their poster designs were printed and sent out to local New Jersey and New York stores to promote NJCE as well as receive Artist Alley tables to be part of the show itself.

The NJCE will be held November 21-22 at the New Jersey Expo Center in Edison, NJ.
