The King of Pop is re-animated for Halloween!

No this isn’t a joke. There really is going to be a Michael Jackson Halloween animated special tonight on CBS. Believe me, it’s hard to resist the temptation to make any kind of Michael Jackson/children jokes. I’m just amazed they they ended up producing this. Though, I think the filmmakers should have chosen not to have the kids tied up and trapped in a dungeon for obvious reasons…

Pretty sure nobody is expecting this to be Ibsen but I don’t know the likelihood of this becoming an instant classic like say It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. At least it’s got to be better than Moonwalker. Did I mention Bubbles is in it voiced by Brad Garrett?

Let’s just hope the animated Michael Jackson is nowhere as creepy and unsettling as the hologram version at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards. I’ve had enough experience with the uncanny valley after Rogue One last year.

MICHAEL JACKSON’S HALLOWEEN, a new one-hour animated adventure with Michael Jackson’s acclaimed music as its soundtrack, will be broadcast for the first time this fall on the CBS Television Network. Created and produced by Optimum Productions, the Michael Jackson company now owned by his estate, the special will feature the voices of actors Christine Baranski, Kiersey Clemons, Alan Cumming, George Eads, Brad Garrett, Lucy Liu, Jim Parsons and Lucas Till.

The special follows millennials Vincent (Lucas Till) and Victoria (Kiersey Clemons), who meet “accidentally” on Halloween night and find themselves, along with Ichabod the dog, at a mysterious hotel located at 777 Jackson Street called This Place Hotel. Once inside, Vincent and Victoria are sent on an unexpected, magical adventure of personal discovery, culminating in a spectacular dance finale featuring an animated Michael Jackson.

MICHAEL JACKSON’S HALLOWEEN was created and produced by Optimum Productions, with animation production by Hammerhead. John Branca and John McClain, co-executors of the Estate of Michael Jackson, serve as executive producers. Daniel Chuba is the producer and Mark A.Z. Dippé is the director.

  1. Michael Jackson was an accused child molester, why on Earth are you writing an article that involves an accused child molester?!!??

What’s next, a special look back at Gerard Jones’ run on Green Lantern?

  2. Another clueless fool leaving empty comments. Go and do some proper research behind the sensational headlines you’ve obviously gored on and now regurgitate. ANY-body can accuse ANY-one of just about ANY-thing. That’s the easiest part.

Unless you have some information that the very conservative jury sat and listened to,- for approx. five months, day in, day out – then tooth-combed and sieved through before delivering their verdict – you’d be better, instead, to take the following advice in link (below). Otherwise, if you DO have further information and are withholding it, you’d best be advised to contact the relevant peoples’, as its a serious offence to withhold such information. (Rolls eyes)!!
