This will be I think my 31st Comic Con. I look forward to reading about everything I missed while I was there!

We were on the fence about going because of the crowds and all. But to criticize the food is silly.

And for those bringing their own snacks: bring purell and saniwipes too.

The San Diego Comic-Con was once enjoyable. I last attended in 2002, but avoid it now. Why deal with the hotels, travel, and crowds when there are so many other great shows around?

It seems some established professionals hold a similar opinion…

As for Nebraska… yeah it’s in the middle of nowhere, but at least it has a balanced budget, an effective non-partisan legislature, and low unemployment, things my current home state of New York sadly lacks.

This will be my 22nd SDCC – It’s tough to quit but if the Hollywood influx continues, might have to stop going and find other conventions where its about comics and not NCIS.

(But really: Buy a bag a of Trail Mix, add some raisins, and bring a refillable bottle of water for each day. That should stave off the hunger until you head out for dinner later that night— $4 “soft pretzles” and $2 ice water or not.)

Oh Torsten is just jealous because the state of Nebraska was too broke to afford their own comic-con while he was growing up.

They couldn’t find a clear spot to put it with all those corn fields in the way.
