As INVINCIBLE readers know, Image has its own superteam, the Guardians of the Globe, a JLA analog in the manner of The Authority and the Squadron Supreme. It seems that the Guardians are getting their own book in August of Image’s rather cheeky marketing campaign –itself taking off from Marvel’s recent Avengers campaign. Members so far include Invincible, Spawn (included since Todd McFarlane lost a bet) and now, B&W Rick Grimes from THE WALKING DEAD.

Who would you like to see join the GotG next? How about Achilles from AGE OF BRONZE or Tom from TRUE STORY. SWEAR TO GOD?

  1. Who was that little grey pig fellow? You know: from that one issue of SPAWN COMIC? The “Gah! COLOR [sic]!” fellow.

    He seemed charming.

  2. Sphinx Magoo says:

    Let’s see…

Some of the characters from GODLAND.
    Jack Staff.
    Some of the 1963 crew.
Plus I’d like it if someone asked Neil Gaiman if they could use his Angela character.

  3. Joe Lawler says:

Strangers in Paradise was an Image book at one point, right? So was Bone for a few issues.

  4. Calista from POWERS.

    “What’s a clitoris?”

  5. Justin says:

    G-Man

  6. Nick Marino says:

ooooo yeah G-Man would be AWESOME!!!! War Chest from Dynamo 5 would be hilarious, but, honestly, it would be fun to have ANY character from Dynamo 5 on the team.

  7. How about Butcher Knight, Spike Selden, and Obergeist?

  8. Suzene says:

    Trench, from Elephantmen. ;)

  9. Nat Gertler says:

We would, of course, gladly lend them Mister U.S. from the Image issues of Big Bang, free of charge… but then, we lend Mister U.S. to just about anyone who wants to use him.

  10. A Distant Soil
    Battle Pope

Just a sec while I search Books In Print…

    The Maxx
    Chance Falconer!
    Kabuki
    Danger Girl
    Mage
    Heartbreakers
    Red Rocket 7
    American Flagg
    PvP
    Liberty Meadows

  11. Matt M. says:

Anyone from KING CITY, but I suspect that won’t happen, ’cause Brandon Graham creates characters that outshine all those others. Hell, there’s more charm in cat’s dewclaw than the ones I’ve seen so far.

  12. I’d like to see Fire Breather.
As an aside ground level role, Proof would be good, too.

  13. Chase Fucking Variant!

  14. Aw, you’re sweet, Jimmie. I think Bomb Queen would be a natural fit in a villainous role.

  15. M Lyon says:

Looks like Matt M beat me to the punch, but I’ll second almost any character from Brandon Graham’s KING CITY, particularly a Joe & Cat duo! C’mon!

  16. Francis Sandow says:

    My Picks:

-The Weiner Dog from Liberty Meadows
    -S.C.U.D. The Disposable Assassin
    -Rose Tattoo
    -The Maxx

Also, are we forgetting that both GI Joe and KISS are Image Comic Properties?

  17. Michael P says:

    Stagger Lee.

  18. jacob lyon goddard says:

wouldn’t mind some of Bendis’ old characters, back when he made interesting work.

  19. 18. Mar, 2010 at 4:33 am # says:

    DaLe Keown’s PITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!

  20. Ben says:

    Pax Romana’s Constantine.

  21. How about Cassie Hack or Astounding Wolf-Man?

  22. David T.G. Riches says:

Well since a lot of people are grabbing at straws for all sorts of once was an image comic how about….
    GROO THE WANDERER!

  23. Joe Lawler says:

“Also, are we forgetting that both GI Joe and KISS are Image Comic Properties?”

They have been, but are currently published by IDW and Collins.
