I saw this and had the same thought. Next time I want to see an invisible plane in the performance.
Actually, reading various press reaction, most were thinking “Erin Grey” not “Linda Carter”.
Myself, I like the look, especially the skates. And it’s nice to see a female figure skater NOT wearing a skirt or some flimsy costume. This might be the sexiest look at the Olympics.
I agree with Torsten, the complex acrobatic maneuvers in today’s ice skating can do without the frilly scarves and lace skirts. I’m interested in the human form on ice which is nicely seen in these body suits — just like gymnasts on floor mats.
I like the Fantasic Four reference more than X-Men or Wonder Woman.
I thought they looked kind of cool. The Canadian commentators were super bitchy, though, you think they’d each worn a pair of panties on their heads or something.
I am still trying to find a good image of the US Ski Team’s jackets. I swear the buttons are tiny little Captain America shields…
Coming soon, to a Greg Land comic near you.
