That Singin’ in the Rain number in the last panel is smokin’ hot. (And probably explains my affinity for short hair and long legs.) People, turn off those lame “dancing” reality shows and go rent the movie.
I did not realise how many fellow Cyd Charisse fans there were amongst the people I know (and some, like you Heidi, I have known for quite some time). It’s lovely to know how many of us appreciated her.
Ironically, our family is going to a stage production of Singin’ in the Rain tonight. I hope the company does something to observe her passing.
A nice “forgotten gem” is “It’s Always Fair Weather”, which was originally written as a sequel to “On The Town”.
