Prism Comics, which promotes LGBT creators and their comics, will participate with a booth and creator signings at the MoCCA Art Festival, a two-day event being held June 7th and 8th, from 11:00am to 6:00pm each day, at the Puck Building in New York City. In conjunction with the festival, Jim Hanley’s Universe will host an LGBT comics signing event on Friday, June 6th, at 7:30.

“The MoCCA Art Festival is a huge event in New York which focuses on the independent, self-published and alternative comics scene,” says David Stanley, who is coordinating the Prism booth at MoCCA. “It’s the perfect place for Prism to represent LGBT comics creators.”

The Prism booth (#S36) at the Art Festival will host signings from creators such as Allan Neuwirth (Chelsea Boys), Jennifer Camper (Juicy Mother 1 & 2, Dangerous Women), Abby Denson (Tough Love: High School Confidential)), Ivan Velez, Jr. (Ghost Rider, Dead High, Tales of the Closet), Erica Friedman (Yuricon), and JD Glass (American Goth, Punk Like Me). Also, a full range of LGBT comics will be on sale from such favorites as Paige Braddock (Jane’s World), Joe Phillips (Boys Will Be Boys), Brian Andersen (So Super Duper), Tommy Roddy (Pride High), and many more.

On Friday, June 6th, at 7:30pm, on the eve of the Art Festival, a creator signing will be hosted by Jim Hanley’s Universe and will also feature Allan Neuwirth, Jennifer Camper, and Ivan Velez, Jr., along with Jose Villarrubia (Mirror of Love, New Avengers, Manhunter). Jim Hanley’s Universe is located across from the Empire State Building at 4 West 33rd Street. For more information, go to http://www.jhuniverse.com or call 1-212-268-7088.
