I am still in a state of shock over my induction at the Shusters 2008… and want to thank all who participated… especially my loyal fans (all 3 of you)… and to Al (who commented on my Bode meets Drucker style)… wow… those are 2 of MY heroes… thanks again… cheers! What’s up with that guy signing as Joe Zhang/Rod Odom and spouting anti-Byrne jargon everywhere he can? I’ve seen him on at least three other blogs now!

If he used his time to do something productive, I’m sure that his life would be much better…

I remember finding the issues of Fuddle Duddle on the newsstands in the early 70’s.

Fuddle Duddle, for the benefit of those who don’t know of it, was a short-lived satirical magazine with colour covers, and black and white interior art. Much like Mad magazine, I suppose. It was named after the incident where Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau was allegedly heard to say “FO”, but later said” “I only said fuddle duddle.”

Stanley Berneche’s caricature work was absolutely brilliant. Perhaps you could describe it as a combination of Vaughn Bode and Mort Drucker. Congratulations Stanley!
