He had such a unique take on his ideas that it was like reading science fiction for the first time because I couldn't compare it to anyone else's work. You might try some of his short stories like "We Can Remember If For You Wholesale" which is a much more gentle story than the bizarre film TOTAL RECALL that it was turned into.
