I can understand doing Beowulf that way... maybe Polar Express looking as truly horrific as it did was a baby-step fluke, right?  But after seeing how toilet-worthy Beowulf was, you&#039;d think that mainstream Hollywood (or at least competent directors like Spielberg) would wash their hands of it.
