I get a lot of information from Huffington Post, but it's not a blog, its a different kind of site. If The Beat wanted to set up a massive comics-related free-for-all like Huffpo, I would be all for it, but it would mean a substantial rethinking of your mission here. Which could be an entirely good thing.

I like the news, but I also like the gossip.

How about a weekly dissection of Rich Johnston.

Him.

Not his column.

Heh.

Thanks for the link, Heidi. That blog is now #5 on my bookmarks, after google, ebay, you, and icv2.
As for the gossip... I get most of that from Lying In The Gutters. How about you host a weekly barmeet where we buy you food and/or drinks (magnolia bakery?) and you dish and discuss whatever comes to mind? You could even bring those review copies which clog your office!

"The Beat, Comics Reporter and Journalista are very rare among successful blogs these days in that they are still solo outings."

Blog@Newsarama is the top comics group blog, with the best line-up of bloggers, but is somewhat hampered by the fact that it can’t compete with the front page of the “mothership.”

Really? i never look at www.newsarama.com anymore, since it has no readily apparent RSS feed, but i keep up with blog@newsarama daily.
