    Nice mullet.

  2. Jonathan says:

Why would someone make a rubber armor suit for themselves….and then craft a weird “six pack” type design on the abdomen? Or for that matter, why are there so many lines on this thing? Odd.

  3. Tinpan says:

Would it be too abusive and disrespectful of current sensibilities to make movie Batman/ Joker yaoi now?

  4. Al says:

How about modifying the suit so Batman can stand around wit his jagged Batgloves in his Bat Pockets? Oh, and this suit looks like a morph between a Spiderman suit and a Batsuit.

Don’t worry. I’m sure the new movie will dedicate several minutes explaining EXACTLY why they’d do that, considering the compulsive need the first movie had to explain everything.

So they can sell more toys and action figures that way! :P

  7. James says:

Well, I imagine that in-universe, it is to allow Batman to perform all his acrobatics with ease, yet still have a decent amount of armor. If the armor on the legs, arms, and gut were all solid, it would greatly restrict his movement. The heavier, thicker armor sections are probably grafted on some sort of reactive semi-metallic fabric that “bunches up” when hit with an object at high velocity; that helps against bullets and such, but the thicker armor probably is ablative against bullets, possibly even counter-active like some armors on tanks, and further padded for protection against slower weapons such as crowbars and fists. From the looks of the helmet (if that is a helmet and not just a placeholder), this is some sort of “heavy duty” armor that he wears when he knows he’ll be wading into a mob of bad guys rather than his usual hit-and-run tactics. Something between the regular suit and the power armor he’d wear when going up against Big Blue.

  8. michael says:

I always found it weird that someone would design ‘pecs’ into their armored suit.

  9. You know how the yellow bat-oval was designed to draw fire to that particular target – basically, to act as a bullet magnet?

    Well…that belt…
