I was at Blockbuster the other night and for the first time kind of wanted to rent one of those Ultimate Fighting DVDs. It's pretty much from reading this blog. I've watched a few things on YouTube now, but I still have no clue which DVDs might actually be good or not. I wish you'd put up a list of favorites.

I got PAN'S LABYRINTH instead.

What about that phone call from Mark Herrerra's whack job wife? Anyone ever witness such a scene of emotional assassination on the eve of a fight? I feel sorry for Herrerra as his wife is clearly insane.

I can see people seeing Serra as the heel since he's been the cocky victor, and Hughes has been the pitiful, sympathetic loser. It people are going blindly into this season and don't know Hughes' personality, they will think that Serra is the bad guy.

What's more amusing to me is that Hughes and Robbie Lawler - Hughes' assistant in TUF - decided to quit Team Militech and form HIT Squad (Hughes Intensive Traning) after this season. They even invited J-Rock to join them, but J-Rock decided to go train with Serra instead.

It amazes me that there are people who think Hughes is the babyface and Serra is the heel in this dynamic.

I kind of wonder what the Hughes training sessions are going to look like from here on out, especially if only Danzig makes it to the quarterfinals. More Bible games? "Which figure from the Book of Job am I?"

Speaking of Danzig, I think he might be a legitimate prospect--at a lighter weightclass. Sakurai is a small welterweight, and he looked enormous next to Danzig. I actually thought he was more of a natural featherweight, which kind of really says a lot about the quality of the welterweights this season.
