Designer Luella’s fashion show in London had a distinctly comical look. Looks like masks are IN for Spring!
Luella returned to London’s runway on Monday after a six year sojourn in New York and Milan bringing a catwalk collection for comic book addicts in floral prints and acid colours stamped with Batman insignia.
The designer, formerly known by her full name Luella Bartley, said her catwalk character was “a little bit of a geek but also very sexy”.
“She’s into her comic books but she’s also very feminine,” she told Reuters TV, referring to the character.
But admit it. If capes and masks came into vogue, the world would be a much cooler place.
I’d read her comic. It’s better then a lot of superhero women wear.
Obviously, I think this is awesome. She’s bridging the gap between Projects Runway and Rooftop.
I wonder if she’s really “into her comics”?
I’m with Dean on this. The only thing about this is how cool it is.
Personally, I think the collision of superhero costumes and high fashion is long overdue.
