I saw Gugino do a very excellent Marilyn Monroe-type character in Arthur Miller's "After The Fall" on Broadway a couple of years ago. The play itself was not great, but she did an outstanding job. I bet you that has something to do with the casting. She can do the whole 40s-glamour-girl extremely well.

Best Watchmen news so far. Gugino is really an outstanding, versatile actress and it'll be interesting to see her take on this character in various eras. Oh, and she's not really hard to look at either.
