If you haven’t already entered your Harry Potter spoiler-free bunker, you may have seen that the 2007 Emmy nominations were announced early this morning. The nerd community, led by the Cheerleader-saving drama HEROES, is well represented. Let’s take a look at the shows you loyal BEAT readers probably have on your DVRs.

* HEROES has eight nominations, including Best Drama and Best Supporting Actor in a Drama for the sword-wielding Hiro, Masi Oka.

* Also coming in with eight nominations is LOST, featuring another showdown between Locke and Ben, as both Terry O’Quinn and Michael Emerson were nominated for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama.

* Only one nominations for THE SIMPSONS this year, that for Best Animated Program (less than an hour).

* Even though it seems like it’s been gone forever, the prematurely-cancelled DEADWOOD managed six nominations, all in the non-acting categories.
