Never underestimate the power of Disney to teach…for better or worse. Take Farfur, for example. Farfur is a giant mouse with a familiar visage who appears on Al-Aqsa TV, a station run by Hamas, the militant anti-Israel group, where he delivers messages to tots about the importance of drinking milk, attending prayers and Islamic jihad:

“You and I are laying the foundation for a world led by Islamists,” Farfour squeaked on a recent episode of the show, which is called “Tomorrow’s Pioneers.”

“We will return the Islamic community to its former greatness, and liberate Jerusalem, God willing, liberate Iraq, God willing, and liberate all the countries of the Muslims invaded by the murderers.”

Children call in to the show, many singing Hamas anthems about fighting Israel.

Despite international outcry — not to mention copy right violations aplenty — Al-Aqsa refuses to remove the program

“Al-Aqsa TV refuses this pressure and refuses to cull its program or alter any of its content,” said Fathi Hamad, chairman of the Al-Aqsa Television board in Gaza City, lashing out at Israeli and Western “interference”. “This campaign of criticism is part of a plan orchestrated by the West and the occupying power to attack Islam on the one hand and the Palestinian cause on the other,” he said. “We have our own ways to educate our children and any criticism of this approach is shocking interference in our internal affairs,” said Mr Hamad.

Meanwhile, in a more historical use of Disney to educate, this collectible site is auctioning off an Australian poster in which Donald Duck urges the use of condoms to prevent disease.
