I don't know why George Takei would need anyone to mediate. He can take care of himself. Walter Koenig was on Shatner's Raw Nerve in 2011 and he appeared without his hairpiece, which to me seemed like he was baiting Shatner by not wearing it, but Shatner didn't take the bait. Their conversation was quite candid and Shatner did have to defend his "me first, everyone else second" conduct when he was in the Star Trek movies.

On today's (January 12, 2010) Howard Stern Show (Sirius Radio), Howard had guest William Shatner in the studio. George Takei was on the telephone and all three agreed to sit down on the set of Shatner's Raw Nerve TV Show and talk it out. Takei would only agree to go on Raw Nerve if Stern were there to mediate. Date to be announced for this 3-way interview.

absolutely hilarious. Shatner definitely brought that guy to reality. You cant really blame him for how he reacted. He did it perfect both takes. I would get a little iritated too if someone was questioning my job performance and i made no mistakes. haha. Still, i feel sorry for the director.

As a guy who works on the other side of the booth, Shatner was reading against the words. The sense of bizarre wonder and excitement, that he does in, say, Lucy In The Sky, and probably the reason he was hired to do that gig, is missing.

Doesn't mean the director could speak it any better, but then that's not his job. It's to direct, and the actor to act on those directions, no matter how odd.

Hilarious. It reminds me of the "frozen peas" audio of Orson Welles doing some voiceover work and getting frustrated the lines he has to read. If you haven't heard it, it's worth looking up.

Hell, William Shatner is well-known for a certain amount of dickery. That's nothing new. He does, however, also seem to have a healthy sense of humor about himself and his own foibles.
