However, the brouhaha and a flip-through in the store made me decide to pick up the trade paperback, which collects the first 6 issues. Really glad to see him comment on City Lights as well as the Preacher TV subject. I agree that his recent works (Punisher: Mother Russia, 303, etc) have been great as well, was worried he'd not get as much done after War Story and im glad i was wrong. Even Kev and Fury: Peacemaker were fun. Ive never seen any of Ellroy's works, but will make a point to do so now. Also, im glad to see Robertson getitng love - he's a great guy, and i (now) love his work, from Transmet to his Wolverine stint, but he hoenstly wasnt getting the respect he desrved at Marvel, so if this deal + whatever he's got on his plate for DC turn that around, im happy for him. Ellroy's best work is still The Black Dahlia where you can really sense his love of the story that he's writing.
