Anime isn't a dying fad, but it's not growing at the rate that it was in the early part of the decade. In fact, the slowing growth correlates pretty well with the similar trend in DVD sales. So yeah, any company who spent last year spending like it was 2002 was gonna get reamed, but blaming fansubs isn't the entire answer. I am not alone on this, I know about 10 people that would buy but the price is factor. 4 dvd at $25= $100. Look at when Neon Genesis Evangelion came out how many dvd in the set 8, only to be repackaged again and again with move episodes on less dvd. Its not fansubs its the free market and your price does not work. Give more bang for the buck. Look at adult swim its doing well and if i am not mistaken those are on the web to see too.
