Heidi, you should know that Steven Fabian is a lifetime award recipient because of his career as a superlative fantasy artist (http://www.stephenfabian.com). In fact, he contributed to Fiction Illustrated, Byron Priess’ pioneering graphic novel series that gave us Steranko’s “Chandler” back in the ’70s – Fabian’s book was “Starfawn,” which was scripted by Priess.

A small correction:It is the Principality of Asturias, not Asturia. Although the convention takes place in Gijón, it is supposed to be the convention of the whole region. There is another big convention in Asturias in Avilés, 15 miles from Gijon, as important as this one or even more by Spanish standards. For those of you fluent in Cervantes:
