We don’t have time for a full report here, but after a slow start yesterday, things picked up quite a bit, and the day ended in a flurry of sales. Buzz books: PictureBox’s immense NINJA, the Brian Chippendale collection; Kazimir Strzepek’s THE MORNING STAR from Bodega, but probably more that we didn’t hear about since most people didn’t start buying until about 4. We had a fine time at the Ignatzes, and people were still speaking to us afterwards, so we didn’t do too horrible a job as MC. While a few people tried to crash the swanky bar mitzvah upstairs (with negative results), and the swanky hotel setting was new terrain for the SPX crowd, there was still a lively nighttime scene.
