I presume the “Best Comic Writer” nod to Miller for All-Star Batman & Robin is solely because he was already in the audience for the Icon honor, because there’s few mainstream books I can think of that might have been less worthy of that.

But then again, I’ve known for certain awards shows were fixed since Waking Life failed to be nominated for a Best Animated Feature Oscar the first year they had the category, so carry on.

My understanding is that with the exception of the pre chosen, and thereby pre announced winners ie: Icon Award to Frank Miller etc, the other winners were based upon popular vote via the Spike TV website and ballots that were available at Hot Topic stores nationwide.

Of course, it might be that the winners were told in advance that they were winners to assure their participation in the show which is often the case with many awards shows.

Although I will say at least one winner of an award was not in attendance that night.

Can anyone please tell me what is the music they played on the background at Scream Awards right when the announced that kate beckinsale won, as she makes her way up to accept the award. I want to know what band the music is from and what the name of the song…
    thanks much!!!!

Deja Vu looks pretty interesting. Kilmer and Denzel are some of my favorite actors.
