September’s signing line-up at Jim Hanley’s is busy as all get out and it starts TODAY with Sean Chen and Bernard Chang. Here’s the calendar of events:

On Wednesday, September 6th, JHU welcomes SEAN CHEN (Wolverine, X-Men: The End) and BERNARD CHANG (Black Belt Club) as they sign the new Boom! Studios release, THE BLVD SKETCHBOOK, a collection of sketches and concepts by The Blvd Studio. They will be appearing from 4:00 to 6:00 PM.

On Thursday, September 7th, Jim Hanleys Universe celebrates Vertigo Comics new AMERICAN SPLENDOR comic with artist, DEAN HASPIEL. Joining Haspiel will be BOB FINGERMAN, artist/writer of the zombie comedy, RECESS PIECES, and writer, JIM DOUGAN, of the new book, CRAZY PAPERS. They will be signing from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. (Note: This creator appearance was moved from Wednesday to Thursday due to shipping changes as a result of the Labor Day Holiday)

Less than a week later, on Wednesday, September 13th, JHU and ACTOR (now known as The HERO Initiative) welcome the creators behind their ACTOR ANTHOLOGY. Joining us will be writer CB CEBULSKI, writer/artist MICHAEL AVON OEMING, writer BRYAN GLASS, writer TOM DeFALCO and artist DAVE SIMONS. The artists will be appearing from 4:00 to 6:00 PM.

Immediately following the ACTOR Anthology signing, JHU & Disney/Hyperion welcome acclaimed writer, JM DeMATTEIS, the writer behind such books as ABADAZAD, MOONSHADOW and BROOKLYN DREAMS. Joining him will be his good friend and co-creator of HERO SQUARED, KEITH GIFFEN. The Giffen/DeMatteis Team have been responsible for such titles as JUSTICE LEAGUE INTERNATIONAL, THE DEFENDERS, and many many more. They will be signing from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.

On the next day, THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 14th, we welcome one of the most acclaimed artists of our time, co-creator of V FOR VENDETTA, DAVID LLOYD. Joining Lloyd will be his co-creator on WAR STORIES, the co-creator of PREACHER and THE BOYS, GARTH ENNIS. This is a special event and it begins at 5:00 and ends at 7:00 PM.
