ICv2 has a rundown of Scholastic’s upcoming OGN plans and they include:
• Amulet (Fall 2007) by Kazu Kibuishi.
• The Last Unicorn, adapted by Mike Kaluta
• Walker Bean, a “rollicking pirate tale” by Aaron Renier(spring 2008)
• Magic Pickle by Scott Morse (Summer 2008)
• The Woodland Chronicles by Greg Ruth (Fall 2009)
In addition,
Jill Thompson (Scary Godmother), Jamie Tolagson and Amy Kim Ganter will illustrate Goosebumps: Terror Trips (Spring 2007); while Kyle Baker (Plastic Man), Ted Naifeh (Courtney Crumrin) and Dean Haspiel (The Quitter) will draw the third Goosebumps graphic novel anthology, Goosebumps: Scary Summer (Summer 2007).
Magic Pickle was a great series. Very funny. And Scary Godmother is always good. This is great news. Hopefully they all find new and bigger audiences.
It’s like Scholastic is making their Graphix line just for me.
New Magic Pickle by Morse will be greatly appreciated.
Is Chynna Clugston’s series going to continue from them? I haven’t seen any mentions of that series.
Unfortunately, the Beagle/Kaluta version of The Last Unicorn has been cancelled.
Any info on “The Woodland Chronicles” by Ruth?
Out of all the books named I am looking forward to this one the most.
