Was surfing around to see what the Gaslamp Quarter restaurant scene looks like this year when I happened on an entry for the new-since-last-year Xavier’s Bar and Grill. Poor guy loses his mutant powers and gets kicked out of his own school and the best he can do is open a bar in a tourist neighborhood? But I suppose the Angel Wings and Colossus Burger are worth trying….

Actually, it seems to be a movie-themed bar. Still, I associate “Xavier” much more with mutants than movies. And you have to wonder how many fans may try it just for the name.

Mm, Beast-fried chicken is the best!
